CORPAC II Ceramic Structured Media
Drop-in replacement for Flexeramic-28
CORPAC II is Lantec's designation for the corrugated ceramic structured media equivalent to Flexeramic-28. When a project specifies Flexeramic-28 geometry, CORPAC II qualifies as a direct drop-in replacement — same corrugated sheet configuration, same cell geometry, same pressure drop characteristics.
Drop-In Specification
CORPAC II matches the corrugated sheet geometry specified as Flexeramic-28. The patent expired; the specification persists. When engineering documents call for Flexeramic-28, CORPAC II qualifies without redesign or resubmittal.
For RTO heat recovery applications, see MLM or LanteComb. For standard ceramic random packing, see Saddles.
Key Benefits
-
Lower pressure drop than random packing — Vertically oriented corrugated geometry aligns with gas flow for reduced resistance
-
Reduced energy consumption — Lower blower and fan power requirements translate to ongoing operating cost savings
-
High-temperature stability — Ceramic composition withstands thermal cycling in demanding process environments
-
Corrosion resistant — Low-porosity ceramic construction resists degradation in aggressive chemical service
-
Consistent wetting properties — Non-absorptive surface maintains structural integrity and performance over time
